"SOME 10,000 residents in Yishun joined Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Wednesday night to usher in the new year at a four-hour countdown party.
The party was organised by Nee Soon South grassroots organisations and saw thousands of people throng an open air field across Khatib MRT station to watch local and regional artistes perform."

The above was extract from Straits Time.com , however what they failed to mention is , you need to pay $5 ($2 if you are RC member) to get into the party area . Open air field ??? Is more like closed air field . Why need to pay to celebrate new year ? what is the logic behind ? Is it because time is so bad so they need to cover back their cost for organising such event ? What an anti-climate !!!!!
